The Franklin Hills Residents Association Cordially Invites You To Celebrate The Shakespeare Bridge’s 100 Year Anniversary!
Shakespeare Bridge Celebration: 100 Years of Connecting Community
Parade & Block Party - Route & Timing
When: Saturday, October 10 | Staging: 11:00 am | Step-off: 12:00 noon
Start: Tracy St. and Saint George St.
The Climb: Up the hill and right onto Franklin Ave.
The Main Event: A grand crossing of the Shakespeare Bridge.
The Finish: Right on Myra St., right on Holly Knoll Dr., right at Monon to the end of the street.
Block Party Under the Bridge 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Monon St. cul-de-sac
The parade is just the warm-up! Once the marching ends, the real celebration kicks off at the base of the bridge. Follow the crowd down Monon Street for a high-energy, free block party that bridges the gap between 1926 and today. Note, parking is limited so we suggest walking or ride share.
